Its been a really busy week this week. We have been canvassing and leafletting in Totteridge, Abbey, Bowerdean, Disraeli and Terriers. We have been leafletting in all of them and in Lane End. Council Candidates and their teams have been out in their wards as well. We had two hustings sessions at the BNU and All Saints with a lot of coverage in the BFP. Awaaz radio and RK Radio have been interviewing parliamentary and council candidates all week. We had a 1/2 page advert in the BFP on our campaign to return A & E to Wycombe and how the Tories have thrown the towel in.
We have met hundreds of people and heard many fascinating stories. The pharmacist and her tales of government red-tape and drug wastage. The nurse and her story of the Aldermaston nuclear incident. The stress of zero hour contracts. Highs and lows.
Today on May Day we spent the morning at the street stall and were overwhelmed by the number and enthusiasm of those who visited us. I then visited the mosque on Jubilee Road and was given a wonderful and warm reception.
So rED's Army continues its campaign. 6 days to change Wycombe's future.
Change is afoot.
